Chief Operating Officer (COO) of Million Dollar Women

Million Dollar Women (MDW) is a social venture with the mission of helping one million women
get to $1M in revenues. We are based in NYC and work with women throughout the United
States and internationally. We are seeking a COO based in New York City to support our
Founder and CEO, Julia Pimsleur and lead a team of six (FT and PT) team members, as we expand our program offerings in 2021. The COO will help MDW create better internal systems in support of our online programs and new membership site, all in service of our overall goal of helping one million women get to $1M in revenues. Working closely with the CEO and other team members, the COO will take the lead on systems, operations and management of the team.
We are seeking someone who is passionate about closing the economic gender gap and helping to level the playing field for women in business and specifically, women entrepreneurs and WOC entrepreneurs. MDW has a nonprofit arm, the MDW Fund (@MDWFund on Instagram), which provides scholarships to WOC entrepreneurs. We are seeking someone who has experience with online communities, online courses, marketing funnels and/or accelerators or entrepreneur organizations and a passion for social change.
Areas of Responsibility
Operations – Responsible for operations, including overseeing a team of six (PT and FT) and working with partner organizations. (70%)
Strategy – Take an active role in strategy planning so MDW can continue to serve more women entrepreneurs and expand our offerings nationally and internationally. Work with our Board, Advisors and Leadership Council. (20%)
Innovation – Continuously learn about coaching and business trends and help MDW to find new ways of offering our programs. (10%)
Educational Background
Bachelor’s Degree required.
Skills/Experience
2+ years in a COO role or similar role
Excellent understanding of online platforms including CRMs (we use Ontraport but knowledge of any robust CRM is sufficient), Clickfunnels, Xero, Facebook Ads, etc. We are an all Apple organization.
Strong project management skills; love of systems; responsiveness and attention to detail; and ability to drive projects through to completion
Strong communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
Advanced degree in relevant field (business management, marketing, management or similar)
Strong level of technical and/ or managerial knowledge, skills, and experience to lead a Unit or Team—in providing technical advice, guidance and direction related to various size grants and other partner commitments.
Excellent interpersonal skills - ability to negotiate challenging situations to achieve goals and deadlines
Knowledge of current theories and practices in marketing; employee engagement, planning and strategy; project management; and communications.
Strong teamwork orientation
Ability to problem solve & take initiative
Experience in developing impact metrics

Social Media & Executive Assistant for Million Dollar Women
This position is part social media ideation and execution and part executive assistant to Julia Pimsleur, Founder and CEO of Million Dollar Women. Seeking a self-starter and detail-oriented team member to help us at Million Dollar Women with social media and other assistant tasks (writing emails, helping with calendar and events, etc.). Join a small and friendly team in Manhattan and work part from the office and part from home. Our ideal candidate is inspired by the thing that gets us out of bed in the morning: helping women succeed.
The position is New York City based. Please only apply if you can easily commute to Manhattan.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Social Media:
Work with a team to compose, design, and post content across all handles including Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn and YouTube
Proactively suggest new content and help with creation
Film reels for Instagram and help with other social media production
Executive assistant:
Draft emails
Set up appointments for CEO
Work with other team members to coordinate efforts
Prepare for webinars and live and online events
Requirements:
Strong email correspondence skills
Experienced in social media
Positive energy and play well with others
Knowledge of social media platforms
Intermediate graphic design skills - experienced with Canva
Detail-oriented
Strong written communication skills
Sense of humor!
Availability to work at our Manhattan office at least 3 days per week. Flexible hours and possibility to work remotely at certain times.

Areas of Responsibility
The Social Media & Executive Assistant will work closely with the Operations Manager & CEO to execute day-to-day programs that grow engagement, brand recognition, brand affinity, and ultimately drive listenership and revenue. The ideal candidate will be well versed in the best practices of existing and emerging social networks.
The position requires urgency, curiosity, creativity, and the ability to collaborate with a team. The role requires a person with excellent communication and strong organizational skills.
Manage and maintain regular posting schedule of content and editorial pieces across Million Dollar Women local station social media accounts.
Develop dynamic content for posting on all designated social media outlets.
Create and write social copy for social posts and artist programs.
Develop strategies to increase the following and engagement for our Million Dollar Women social accounts.
Coordinate with various departments.
Perform general administrative duties for the department.
Respond to music and pop culture events and use those opportunities to introduce new fans to the Million Dollar Women ecosystem.
Track social media influence measurements.
Experience/Skills/Qualifications
Minimum of one year experience with social media or digital marketing. Past experience in entertainment or music space preferred.
Knowledge of social networking platforms including, but not limited to: Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, Snapchat, Pinterest, Reddit, TikTok, etc.
Superior and persuasive communication skills, including the ability to proofread.
Possess a balance of creativity with good analytical skills.
Ability to work quickly and shift gears on a dime.
A bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Media, Communications or Journalism or similar is preferred.
This position is based in New York City and reports to the Head of Operations and the CEO of the company.
